Oakland to use Cass Lake as Spill Reservoir ?

August 11, 2014

People tend to forget WHAT connects to the Clinton River
eventually ends up in Lake St. Clair
near Harley Ensign Marina

Just because people don’t go to the beaches or lakes
when it rains outside – DOES NOT MEAN there is no pollution.
Of course little or nothing comes out of a drain when its
very sunny, hot and dry outside, so people don’t notice it.

Up to half of the Clinton Rivers flow
is WasteWater from multiple municipal sewage treatment plants
that have “”issues”” during hard rainfall events in the summer.

MAYBE the stormwater/wastewater overflow from OAKLAND COUNTY
should go into a large lake on that side of town, like Cass Lake,
or Orchard Lake and use THAT as a temp storage overspill reservoir.
Then it could trickle back, thru Crystal Lake, by the Municipal Golf Course in Pontiac.

Once you look at a map it becomes quite obvious why
Pontiac WasteWater Treatment Plant will NEVER use
Cass Lake or Orchard Lake as their OverFlow Reservoir,
– Yet the Clinton River is perfectly acceptable.

How much MORE water can Oakland County expect to put into the
Clinton River without seeing a flurry of flooding events ?
History clearly documents the past flooding events !
