Why is USACE hiding Lab Results ?

November 7, 2014

Recently I requested more info about the a sediment sampling
project recently done on the Red Run Drain in Warren, Michigan
FEMA is in town to help flooding victims from the 2014 event as well.

This is a follow-up post referencing :

The issue of sediment DID NOT seem to be on the table before
as heavy equipment scooped and dug and dumped
within the waters of the Red Run during the bank reconstruction.

There were NO Silt Curtains installed to impede the sediment
from flowing downstream during the Red Run bank reconstruction.

The sediment in the Red Run seems to be a “”concern””
– otherwise all interested parties would openly share info about it.
The sediment must impact the Clinton River environment as well;
since millions of gallons of CSO get violently thrown down
the Red Run channel every time the area gets a hard rainfall.
Flooding happens in Warren, and action is needed to stop it.
Oakland County drains itself via the Red Run Drain,
at the expense and suffering of Warren Michigan residents.
When the Red Run is at 615 to 620 ft in elevation,
so is everything else connected to it, like street drains.
It all leaks underground, surcharging the sanitary drain for households.
Bear Creek by General Motors is connected as well.

The Red Run in Warren as we know it today came about
via the USA Federal Flood Control Act of 1970.
Make no mistake about it.
The USA House of Representatives Document # 91-431
via Chief Engineer of the United States Army Corps of Engineering.

How high is the Bridge for Ryan Road over the Red Run ?
Apparently not high enough, since the waters went over it in 2014.
It nearly happened in 2011 , just missing by inches.
