Public Meeting to Discuss E. coli in Lower Clinton River
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment is announcing a public meeting for the draft E. coli Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL)

for the lower Clinton River where elevated concentrations of E. coli have been identified. —
E. coli is a pathogenic organism indicative of fecal contamination and can pose health risks to humans if the contaminated water is ingested. —
The TMDL is being developed pursuant to the Clean Water Act with the purpose of gathering data, identifying sources of contamination and new  goals
